Ask 1up provides fast answers to short questions. It’s best used for:
Getting fast answers to questions about your products and services.
Answering questions in Slack, Teams, or Google Chat in seconds.
Testing how the Knowledge Base handles specific queries.
Ask 1up supports a maximum query length of 1,000 characters and is best for getting fast answers to short questions. For longer, complex queries, we recommend uploading them to the Automate Questionnaires tab.
Query formats that 1up excels at:
Answering sales questions and requirements about your products and services, such as "What key features differentiate our products?"
Requirements phrased such as "The vendor must integrate with Microsoft Azure AD."
Responding to questions in Slack, MS Teams, and Google Chat. This is particularly useful for fast answers during calls or customer queries.
What we do NOT recommend using 1up for:
Vague, ambiguous statements such as "Provide a 5-page summary outlining how you will use the funds from this grant."
Content creation prompts like "Create a pricing page for us with a best and final offer."
1up performs best with direct queries in the form of a question or a statement that can be answered by your company’s webpages or uploaded documents.
Related Sources
Source citations tell you how an answer was generated.

Understanding Tags
Tags help categorize your knowledge and allow you to include/exclude sources during answer generation.
For example:
Add a tag to your knowledge base called Product to group all public-facing pages.
You can then choose whether to include or exclude that website content when generating answers.
Upvotes and Downvotes
Upvotes and downvotes help you manage answer quality inside 1up, but they work very differently.
Upvoting Answers
Upvoting tells 1up that the answer is good. This makes the response more likely to appear again in future similar queries.
Downvoting Answers
Downvoting does not train or influence the algorithm. Instead, it simply saves the answer to your Knowledge Base so you can review it later.
To view these saved responses, go to: Answer Library → Downvoted
From there, you can edit, improve, and save any response as an authoritative answer. Learn more about managing your Answer Library.
