Microsoft Teams

Updated yesterday

You can connect 1up to Microsoft Teams in just a few steps. From your 1up dashboard, go to Ask 1up and click the Teams icon.

This opens the Microsoft Teams Marketplace, where you'll be prompted to add the 1up bot. Click Get it Now.

This should open your Teams app where you'll see a card asking you to pair Teams with your 1up account. Click it, and the integration is complete.

How to use 1up inside Teams

You can interact with the 1up bot in two ways:

  • Send a direct message to ask questions privately.

  • Tag @Ask1up in any Teams channel to get an answer right in the conversation.

1up will answer using the knowledge stored in your workspace and will display the sources used for each response. Anyone in your organization can talk to 1up in Teams - you don’t need a separate 1up license to ask questions.

Controlling what 1up can answer

From your 1up dashboard, open Settings → Teams Settings. Here, you can choose which Tags (knowledge sources) Teams is allowed to use for responses.

For example:

  • Include Security, SOC 2, or InfoSec content to make those answers available.

  • Include Sales assets or Product Docs that help your team respond to customer questions.

  • Exclude sensitive or internal content you don’t want showing up in Teams.

This gives you full control over what information the Teams bot can reference.
